These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Insight International School, BD (“the School”) and the parents, guardians, and students (“you”) who enroll in or engage with the School. By enrolling a student or using the School’s services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Admission
- Admission is subject to the completion of the School’s admission process, including submission of all required documents, satisfactory performance in the placement assessment, and payment of applicable fees.
- The School reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion.
- Admission is confirmed only upon receipt of the signed Admission Form, all required documents, and payment of the registration fee.
- Providing false or misleading information during the admission process will result in immediate cancellation of admission.
2. Fees and Payments
- All fees must be paid by the due dates specified in the School’s fee schedule.
- Late payment may result in a late fee being applied and may affect the student’s continued enrollment.
- Fees once paid are non-refundable except as stated in the School’s Refund Policy.
- The School reserves the right to revise its fee structure at the beginning of each academic year. Parents will be notified in advance of any changes.
- Failure to pay outstanding fees may result in the student being unable to sit examinations or receive academic reports.
3. Attendance and Punctuality
- Regular attendance is essential for academic progress. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
- In case of absence, parents or guardians must notify the School in writing or via the School’s official communication channels on the same day.
- Excessive unexplained absences may result in academic consequences or a review of the student’s enrollment.
- Students are expected to arrive on time. Persistent lateness will be addressed through the School’s disciplinary procedure.
4. Code of Conduct
All students are expected to:
- Treat fellow students, staff, and school property with respect
- Adhere to the School’s Islamic values and behavioral standards at all times
- Wear the School uniform as specified in the Student Handbook
- Refrain from bullying, harassment, or any form of discrimination
- Follow the instructions of teachers and school staff
The School reserves the right to take disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion, for serious or repeated violations of the Code of Conduct.
5. Uniform
- Students are required to wear the prescribed School uniform at all times during school hours and at school events.
- The uniform policy is detailed in the Student Handbook provided upon enrollment.
- Non-compliance with the uniform policy will be addressed through the School’s disciplinary procedure.
6. Use of Technology and Devices
- Personal mobile phones and electronic devices are not permitted during class hours unless specifically authorized by a teacher for educational purposes.
- The School is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal devices brought onto school premises.
- Students must use the School’s technology resources responsibly and in accordance with the School’s Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Health and Safety
- Parents must inform the School of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements that may affect their child’s health or participation in school activities.
- In the event of a medical emergency, the School will take appropriate action and contact the parent or guardian immediately.
- Students who are unwell should not attend school and must not return until they are fit to do so.
8. Communication
- The School’s primary means of communication with parents is via phone, email, and the School’s official notice board.
- Parents are encouraged to attend Parent-Teacher meetings and school events.
- Concerns or complaints should be raised through the School’s official channels and will be handled in accordance with the School’s Complaints Policy.
9. Withdrawal
- Parents wishing to withdraw a student must provide written notice to the School at least one month in advance.
- Any outstanding fees must be settled prior to the student’s withdrawal.
- School leaving certificates and academic reports will be issued only after all financial obligations have been met.
10. Limitation of Liability
- The School takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and welfare of students on school premises and during school activities.
- The School shall not be held liable for loss, injury, or damage arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
11. Amendments
The School reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Parents will be notified of any significant changes in advance. Continued enrollment following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
